Robert Griffin III Wins NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year
Washington Redskins Quarterback Robert Griffin III won the Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the year Saturday evening. He beat out fellow Quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson by a wide margin, winning 29 of the 50 votes. Robert electrified the nation, energized the Redskins fan base, and injected confidence in his team, while being a driving force to the first NFC East Division Championship in 13 seasons.
The Rookie of the Year debate was a polarizing topic through the 2012 NFL season, and I loved every minute of it.Luck is talented but the results prove Robert Griffin III is the better player.They will always be mentioned together like Larry and Magic, but I see it more as Ewing and Jordan. Patrick Ewing was a great NBA player, but he couldn’t get past Jordan when it mattered most.
2011 was setup to be Andrew Lucks year, but Robert Griffin III had other ideas.
